Nonprofit board members no longer have the option of saying, “I don’t raise funds.”  This workshop provides tools to both incentivize board members and to help them become more comfortable with the fundraising process. It provides an ideal opportunity for nonprofit staffers to attend with their board members. Topics covered include: 

  • Who should and should not be on the board
  • What policies and structures need to be in place to facilitate fundraising
  • How to achieve a state of grantseeking readiness
  • How to develop an action plan to move toward a fully engaged board

Specific attention is paid to the various specific roles board members can and should play vis a vis an organization’s prospects, donors, and staff. Registration is required.

About Judith Margolin: Judith Margolin is an independent consultant, facilitator, workshop and webinar leader on foundations and grants. She is the author of several books, including The Individual's Guide to Grants and Financing a College Education and has served as editor of multiple editions of the Foundation Center's how-to books, including Foundation Fundamentals, Guide to Proposal Writing, Grantseeker's Guide to Winning Proposals and After the Grant.
